Bechtel Park Loop

This walk is situated in the north east part of Waterloo, Ontario. It is at the eastern end of the Laurel Creek drainage basin around which Waterloo was constructed, especially the "uptown" part of the city. If you wish to take some friends on a pleasant, short and local walk this may be it. There is ample parking and the loop follows a relatively easy, wide path, some of which is wooded. Bechtel Park is a popular cross country skiing location in Waterloo. Apparently the trails are no longer maintained or groomed by the Waterloo Region Nordic Sports Club. Hikers should avoid walking in the ski tracks during the ski season.
