Waterloo Park Loops

The primary focus of these two walks is Waterloo Park. The park was established in 1893 and covers about 45 hectares (111 acres). During 2020-2022 major alterations took place most of which had to do with water flow along Laurel  Creek into Silver Lake and beyond. For the longer loop walk you may wish to park in the City Centre Lot located off William Street East (usually a 2 h limit). For the shorter loop walk, parking at the Bauer Lot located off Father David Bauer Dr is suggested for a Saturday or Sunday. See parking information below.


Parking Location for the 5.3 km Loop Walk

Assuming you are driving to the core of Waterloo and wish to walk the 5.3 km loop depicted on this page, I suggest parking at the large municpal parking lot (City Centre Lot) at  43.46415872734833, -80.51924945015357. Be sure to park in the "white lines - free parking" section and note the two-hour limit. There are washrooms in Waterloo Town Square (assume no pandemic closure).
